About The Crawl Space Report
The Crawl Space Report publishes independent cost data for crawl space work in the United States — encapsulation, moisture control, and repair. The name is the job description: figures a homeowner can cite back to a salesman, each with a source and a date.
Who runs this
The site is independently owned and edited. No contractor, manufacturer, or lead-generation network has a stake in it, and nobody can pay to be recommended here — there are no recommendations to buy. Every number we publish traces to the sources and model on our methodology page.
How we make money
Today, we don't. When that changes — referral calls answered by contractors, or affiliate links on product guides — we'll disclose it on the page where it happens, above the fold, not in a footer. The data doesn't change either way: we don't earn more when your quote gets bigger.
What we are not
We are not contractors. We don't install, inspect, or quote — and we don't have an office in your city. The Crawl Space Report is a national data source: if you need hands under your house, our contractor guide covers how to choose them.
Corrections
Found a number you can't trace, or a source that says we're wrong? We'd rather fix a figure than defend it. Every figure's source is listed on the methodology page so you can check our math directly.
