The short version: you can use everything on this site — including the calculator — without telling us who you are. Here's the long version, in plain English.
What we collect
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and whether the calculator gets used (that involves the standard analytics cookies), plus Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies. Neither tells us who you are.
Calculator inputs.The size, condition, and state you enter may be recorded in aggregate so we can publish better regional cost data. Your ZIP code resolves to a state; it isn't tied to your name, because we never asked for your name.
Your email — only if you ask for your report.If you use "Email me this report," we receive your address together with the numbers you entered, generate the one email, and send it. We don't sell your email address, and we don't add you to a list you didn't ask for.
What we don't do
No accounts, no tracking pixels from ad networks, no retargeting, no data brokers. If the site starts earning money from referral calls or affiliate links, that disclosure lives on the page where it happens — see how we make money.
Questions or removal requests
A contact address is being set up; until it's published here, the only personal data we could even hold is an email you sent yourself a report to.
